Why did you start Margo&Bert?

My parents are both business owners and watching them during my childhood made me want to be an entrepreneur. I tried a few side hustles coming out of college, and I realized I was most passionate about making an impact. I started margo&bert to help other businesses launch by leveraging my combined skill set of business and technology.

Where are you from & how did that place contribute to who you are?

I grew up in San Diego, California. The slower pace of life there helped instill a more laid back personality. Also, growing up spending time at the beach, the desert, and the mountains cultivated a love of the outdoors that I am still very passionate about.

How do you stay sharp?

I like to read and research new things. It can be anything from a Wikipedia deep dive on a history topic or perusing Techcrunch for the latest on startup technology. I also like to try new things; my most recent adventure has been learning to bake artisan bread.

Favorite place to travel?

I like to travel anywhere I have not been before. The feeling of my world opening up as I experience something new from a completely different perspective, is my favorite part of traveling. But some of my favorite spots I have been so far are Amsterdam, Mexico, and all the US national parks.

What role do you play at margo&bert?

My main responsibility is all things related to development. I lead the team that takes Margo’s design and turns it into a real live website. I also bring a business analytics background that helps shape our strategy recommendations.
